PURPOSE OF THE Directory

This is a database of artists performing live music in Second Life. Each post has identical headings although the amount of information on each artist varies. I hope the headings are comprehensive enough to provide useful information for a variety of people.

The Directory is searchable alphabetically, by artist, genre and country . . . . see more down the right hand side.

In some cases I have also reviewed the artist in my linked blog - Live Music In Second Life. This is flagged up for you.

New artists are continually being added as time permits and as I listen to them. Let me know if you wish to be added.

SonyaJevette Charisma is a sultry, cool, singer, songwriter, and musician. She was born and raised in Dallas, Texas and grew up singing to the great R&B tunes that dominated the airwaves in the seventies. As a teen she honed her vocal talent through the church choir. Winning a talent contest at the age of seventeen was the beginning of Sonya Jevette's journey. From there, she went on to win dozens of competitions. These successes translated into media attention from radio & newspaper with appearances at over one hundred festivals. 
Sonya Jevette combines her rich, passionate voice and her gut-wrenching lyrics with classical, latin and jazz style guitar. Sonya Jevette's configuration produces a style that can only be described as unique. She was nominated in the Dallas Observer 2002 Music Awards alongside Erica Badu and N'Dambi. Sonya Jevette has played in venues such as Dallas Hard Rock Cafe, Deep Ellum Live, Gypsy Tea Room, and Ft. Worth's Caravan of Dreams. Jevette has a passion for the business side of the music industry and has established her own Indie label, Sound Byte Production.
